Hydrogen is a good source of energy carrier & has the highest energy content per unit weight than any other fuel (3 times more than gasoline). It can be stored & transported easily for commercial use.

Hydrogen can be produced from different sources like nuclear power, biomass, natural gas through hydrogen fuel cell technology. It's operation is almost similar to electric vehicle (ev) wherein H2 vehicles produce electricity within the car to power the vehicle motor while ev needs external source of power.

HYDROGEN TRAIN IN INDIA

Indian Govt has recently announced that manufacturing of H2 train is in progress & will be launched in next Independence Day. Transport ministry has started working on it to use hydrogen as a fuel for vehicle purpose.
